5th ANNUAL ST. MARYS STORYTELLING FESTIVAL

Schedule of Events



Note: If you are coming to an evening concert, please bring jackets and/or blankets. September evenings can be chilly.

Friday, September 5th

Local Schools at the Festival (9:30-10:30, 1:45-2:45)
Antonio Rocha and Adwoa Badoe
Students pay $2.

Evening, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Family Storytelling Concert (by donation)

St. Marys Fanga Drummers, Gail Fricker, Charly Chiarelli, Adwoa Badoe, Sandra Carpenter- Davis, La'Ron Williams, Antonio Rocha.

 

Saturday, September 6th

Morning, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. : Three Storytelling Workshops

St. Marys Public Library, 11-12pm: Author Visit with Celia Lottridge (Free Admission)

 

Storytellers at the Farmers' Market (Downtown St. Marys 8:45am - noon)

Norman Perrin and La'Ron Williams will entertain during the United Way Pancake Breakfast at the Farmers' Market.



Noon to 4 pm.: Food Vendors are on the Flats to serve you lunch and snacks.

Frenchie’s Fries, Shawn’s Gourmet Sausages, Souvlaki & Veggie Wraps, New Orleans Pizza

 

Storytelling from 1 to 5 pm in three tents

Many Voices - One World Tent: Adwoa Badoe, Stephanie Beneteau, Tane Akamatsu & Yusuke Tanaka, Antonio Rocha

Children’s Tent: Gail Fricker & Harriet Xanthakos, La'Ron Williams, Charly Chiarelli

Sunday, September 7th

10:30 to noon: Open Mic Story Swap in the Adult Tent (Free)

Join storytelling enthusiasts for an intimate morning of story sharing. Recommended for adults and older children.

2 to 4 p.m. "Connecting the Generations": Special Grandparents’ Day Concert of Music and Stories (by donation)
